Living a Facade

Last Sunday I woke up early and rook a walk. On lygon Street I noticed, perhaps feeling more perceptive in morning light, a facade been kept up by developers who gutted the inside of the building to implant apartments. A facade is either kept secure be purse it is heritage listed or so the developers can have their new complex appear vintage.

Whatever the reason the inside had been unkept and a whole ecology seemed to be developing within. I photographed it through the glass windows that have been thoroughly grafted over.
